Here are the rules for the Blogger Recognition Award:

1.Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide links to their blog.

2.Write a post to show your award.

3.Attach the award to your post.

4.Write a brief story of how your blog started.

5.Give a piece of advice to new bloggers.

6.Select the 15 other blogs you want to give the award to.

7.Comment on each blog and let them know you have nominated them.

It is truly humbling and encouraging for Ishaisms to have been nominated for an award so soon after venturing out on the blogging journey.

The WordPress community has been gracious and generous with love and support for me, ever since the first day I blogged.

Although I’ve written for as long as I can remember, with poems penned down in my diary since the age of seven; I started blogging only on the 2nd of January, this year, by writing about why I write, what drives me and motivates me; in a post entitled, “Words, Words, Words.”

The unprecedented outpouring of love was overwhelming and a determinant factor in my ‘making a home’ on WordPress.

The idea of uploading a doodle with my blog posts was the manifestation of the proverb, “Necessity is the mother of invention”; since I couldn’t find any apt image to grace my writings with; (the intention being to show the reader the picture as I received it in my head when inspired).

The tagline, “Fiction is the ONLY Reality”, was added, since for me, writing poems, stories and just about anything, has always, above everything else, been an escape, just like fiction is an escape from reality. Reality itself is a perception, an outlook, a fiction of sorts; for what is real to one, isn’t to another.

It did take me a while to let go of the fear and self doubt, and start blogging; but once I did, the results were overwhelmingly positive, and my journey, wonderfully blessed.

Although I don’t believe that I’m in any position to give advice to new bloggers, (my own stay here having been only just over a month long), I’d like to tell them to just enjoy the blogging process, receive and bestow love to fellow bloggers, believe in the beauty of their blog and simply let the “words, words, words” flow.

Even though WordPress has no dearth of great blogs, the 15 blogs that I am going to mention, are the ones that have been really encouraging, enlightening, entertaining, moving, and special to me, in my stay so far on WordPress, which is why I’d like to nominate them for the Blogger Recognition Award. This award is presented by bloggers to fellow bloggers to thank them for their valuable contribution to the world of blogging; to motivate and encourage them to continue their great work; and to remind them of how wonderful they are at what they do. 1. Walt I think you haven’t received my nomination comment on your blog post… It’s probably in the spam section of your comments, as it has been for many other nominations due to some technical issues… 😐

  2. Congratulations!!!! I’m so happy for you! I appreciate you nominating me for the award, too…but unfortunately, I’m not participating in the awards. I did a few, but it just got to be too much. Writing and reading other blogger’s posts keeps me pretty busy. I often wish there were more hours in a day. But, THANK YOU!!!!! Thank you also ….for all of your comments and “likes” on my posts. I love following your blog. You are truly deserving of THE BLOGGER RECOGNITION AWARD.
