Water to your Earth

And here with the brimming cup I stand,
gripped in my praying, outstretched hand –
afraid of it being gleaned from my grasp,
not of my fingers growing weary of this clasp…

The tears refill the steals of the windy air,
no fire from the sun can dry up what’s here;
this river can only overflow now in a deluging rebirth…
when waiting Waters finally descend to enliven your earnest Earth…

  1. Well, my heart aches somehow with this … it might be the bite of winter air shared by our hemisphere or a sense of unrequited longings for ….. spring or rebirth. Either way, it’s lovely and I find joy in seeing a new doodle! You are so special, dear Ishu ❀ ❀

    1. Thank you, sweet poetess πŸ’• Spring and rebirth are almost synonymous for me these days.. This poem represents so many things to me at once that to touch upon one would be an injustice to others, although you’ve come very close my dearest friend πŸ’•πŸ˜˜πŸ‘

      1. Yet one must be philosophical about the cycles of life, whether seasons or absences of loved ones. If summer was present everyday I would not yearn for it as I do!
        Now back to the doodle …. oh how I miss them when it’s not doodle season πŸ˜‰πŸ€©πŸ€©πŸ₯°πŸŒΉπŸŒΉ

      2. They make me ….nostalgic for an earlier time when we young whippersnappers had adventure (and momos) ahead of us. Sigh. Where did the year go! πŸ˜˜πŸŒΉπŸ‘— πŸ‘§πŸ» πŸ‘§πŸ»πŸ’œ

      3. Haha, don’t remind me, I miss you more! πŸ‘πŸ’•πŸ˜˜πŸŽΉ 2018 was the beginning of a most soulful and enriching friendship – a meeting of old friends as they say. 😘
