Ishaisms, Poetry

On a delicately scintillating night,

did the luminescent fireflies,

gather behind bushes to gaze at the moon;

for long had they heard of her milky white,

her understated brilliance and pale light,

that had caused many a scribe to swoon!

Awed by the humble, resplendent satellite

glowing without pride in that turquoise twilight

on that balmy, coruscating June;

they lit up in nocturnal sprite

their own radiant inner light,

knowing then,

that heaven and earth are one.

  1. Everything about you radiates beauty. Poetry like this warms my heart and I bask in the imagery created by your words and from your drawing. When I read your words, I am indeed in heaven on earth, one with the universe, and all is as it should be. This is so awesome Isha… Your words and your art. ☺❀

  2. Who would have thought of fireflies getting inspired by the moon, ESP for instance cant think beyond wolves. Leave it to Isha to make a heaven out of little things that go unnoticed on this earth.

  4. I was captivated with the doodle. For the longest time, it seemed like the moon is a hole in the sheet, and when I realized otherwise, I thought how much better it’d be if it were so! Then it seemed like a whole in a sea, the cavity denoting the inward flow of water, pulling in anything that dares to venture. But really, the artwork is amazing. I wonder if I can use it for one of my own stories? With credits, of course.

    1. Thank-you for the kind words! You truly made my day. Art truly is both relative and so beautifully interpretative!
      I thank you for considering it worthy of being a part of your work, but I feel my drawings are so particular to my posts that it’d be best if they’re not used elsewhere. 😊
