Tossing and Turning

The night transports me to us,
and your thoughts,
like moments of a kaleidoscope
amid imaginary chaos;
as tears swell like the tides
pulled by these eyes,
drying up before they stream
and leaving a heaviness within,
fading before the release…

A catharsis at the cusp,
left incomplete,
crawling back to its cavern –
but never dying…

      1. it would have definitely made a great title, but the charm of the phrase as it unfolds where it is placed would have been lost. I marvel at how you write such beautiful verse in so less words.

    1. And I, to see your exuberant and wonderful comments! I’ve missed your blog, dear Patty. Will be catching up with it this weekend.
      I’m so glad you noticed the imagery, it’s something I noticed too…after penning the verse! Lol. πŸ™‚
