The Sweet Music…

Let us hide underneath the naive leaves
that cloud canopy-like above us;
let innocent birds call out to the streams
that flow all wise, flanked by bushes…
Tell me, can you hear the sweet music?

There’s no need to fall in line with what’s been –
let the magic of the forbidden set you free;
beliefs are for those that are meant to live within boundaries –
we’re made of mad stuff, let’s dwell in the wildness…
Tell me, can you hear the sweet music?

Bodies and souls, dreams and realities,
remember an old forgotten tune from the source;
they long to venture beyond their frailties –
don’t be afraid to run, just let go…
Tell me, can you hear the sweet music?

In lands unknown, our hearts are born;
they come to life at the touch of love;
moonbeams, sunshine and the blushing dawn
await you and me, beyond the twilight mauve…
Tell me, can you hear the sweet music?

Now there’s rain that showers like sparkling dust,
flecks and gems and golden cups –
there’s treasure to be found in that untamed chest,
where the incarcerated bird, released, does chirp…
Tell me, do you dare to hear the sweet music?

  1. So reminiscent of what drew me to your blog at first! A doodle ices the cake of a sweet, somehow melancholic yet hopeful piece of writing that is positively lovely from start to end. One could never tire of the signature essence of your self that permeates in your select words! πŸŒΉπŸ‘πŸ»β€οΈπŸ’œ
