Ishaisms, Poetry

Give me a poem…

Give me a poem
on sleepless nights

In the depths of anxiety
give me a rhyme

Give me a verbal melody
to soothe my heart

for in the notes of notes
all troubles depart

Give me a sonnet
no needless sighing

Let the sun set
amid versifying

Give me a poem
in the blue morning

.. and another one…
when I am dying..

  1. Oh, oh, oh. This was gorgeous. Those poems you want us to give you…..well, I know where you can find inspiring little poems that will amaze you. Just go to a blog page I follow. It’s called – Ishaisms.
You will find the wonderful poems you were looking for in this one you wrote. They are scattered throughout, like gems in a garden of jewelry.

    1. Oh how lovely a comment Lonely!
And I have to concur, there is something at Ishaisms for every moment, every mood. One just has to arrive at the door of Isha’s creativity to see the muddy footprints of many travellers.
      Lovely work indeed… ❀️

      1. I welcome with warmth and love, such lovely images knocking on Ishaisms’ door – and from such wonderful ‘Wandering’ writers themselves!

Hehe, thank you, Rachel! You really make my poems feel very special (they tell me!) 😜
Unfortunately my weekend’s been a little glass-half-empty… I blame it on the recent past with its low tides. Take care, and enjoy the week my dear friend! 🌼

      1. Ahh why am I not surprised that your poems whisper to you? Perhaps it’s because they whisper to me too, and then curl up inside my heart.
I’m sorry your weekend has been glass half empty… and the low tides…. I hope these tides will turn for you very soon. Sending you a hug or two πŸ€—πŸ€—

      2. Oh good. How about I pour you a glass of something too, and make sure it’s full to the brim (don’t worry, I’ll even put something under it in case it spills). Love to you too, Isha ❀️
