DAWN

Bird of music, bird of light,
How sweet your notes of respite,
How blessed the hour, how blessed the morn,
That you purge and sanctify with song…

I hear your musical, poignant tune,
Singing for the world whilst in your own,
The note with secret wisdom to impart,
To the early birds and desperate, young hearts…

With each melody there’s a calm, an ease,
All wear and fear cast off, the new day to seize,
Nothing else can lift one’s spirit as instantly
as your Divine call, your tranquil symphony…

The dawn holds the balm to one’s soul, I can tell,
All one needs to do, is wake up and listen well.

    1. How lovely to hear a different tune each time… It’s the opposite here… I’ve heard the same tune ever since my childhood… The very same, sung every dawn, unfailingly!
Thank you for sharing such a lovely piece of information with me, Radhika! 💟😇

  2. This is beautiful.. a lovely poem..💓💓 I remember a time when birds of all kind surrounded the house and used to merrily chirp.. But excessive urbanization has reduced the happy songs.. still whenever my garden becomes a playground for birds, I enjoy watching and listening their songs!!đŸ€—

    1. Thank-you Parth! You make a good point indeed… Urbanisation has replaced birdsongs with car-honks, blazing noises, sounds of wheels etc… Yet I’m glad you have your little haven of a garden preserved in harmony to welcome precious musical delights!

    1. Hi Karen, congratulations on your award nomination! 👏

I am so happy, honoured and humbled to be one of the two blogs you’ve nominated for such a wonderful award! I thank you ❀

Unfortunately, for me, writing Award blog-posts has been too much of a hassle in the past. I shall express my heartfelt gratitude and apologies to you, and excuse myself from posting on it.

Thank you once again! Have a wonderful day!

      2. That is some mighty responsibility and honour you are laying upon Ishaisms 😂 Yet to tell the truth, I feel your ramblings have a few posts alluding to the lost magic of lost days, so in a large group of bloggers such as you, the hope still remains.
